thine And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into {thine} hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou [art] this head of gold. thine If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of {thine} hand, O king. thine Then Daniel, whose name [was] Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream [be] to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to {thine} enemies. thine Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and {thine} iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity. thine And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled {thine} heart, though thou knewest all this; thine O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let {thine} anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [are become] a reproach to all [that are] about us. thine O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open {thine} eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies. thine O my God, incline {thine} ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies. thine O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for {thine} own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. thine Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set {thine} heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. thine I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint {thine} eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. ~~~~~~
