heart But Daniel purposed in his {heart} that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. heart But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for [any] wisdom that I have more than any living, but for [their] sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy {heart}. heart Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's {heart} be given unto him: and let seven times pass over him. heart Let his {heart} be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him: and let seven times pass over him. heart But when his {heart} was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: heart And he was driven from the sons of men; and his {heart} was made like the beasts, and his dwelling [was] with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and [that] he appointeth over it whomsoever he will. heart And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine {heart}, though thou knewest all this; heart Then the king, when he heard [these] words, was sore displeased with himself, and set [his] {heart} on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him. heart The first [was] like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's {heart} was given to it. heart Hitherto [is] the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my {heart}. heart And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify [himself] in his {heart}, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. heart Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine {heart} to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. heart And] when he hath taken away the multitude, his {heart} shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down [many] ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened [by it]. heart Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his {heart} [shall be] against the holy covenant; and he shall do [exploits], and return to his own land. heart How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her {heart}, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. ~~~~~~
